A full-service hotel requires uniforms across multiple departments: front desk (formal suits or blazers), F&B service (waiter uniforms — typically black and white or property-branded), housekeeping (colour-coded smocks or tunics), kitchen staff (chef coats, chef trousers, aprons, chef caps), security (formal uniforms), and management (business formals). Each department typically has 2–3 sets per staff member.
Polyester-viscose blends (65% polyester, 35% viscose) are the most common in Indian hotels — they resist wrinkles, wash and dry quickly, and maintain colour after repeated laundering. Cotton-rich fabrics are preferred for kitchen staff where breathability is critical. For 5-star and luxury properties, wool-silk blends are used for front-of-house roles. Avoid 100% cotton for uniforms — it wrinkles badly and requires ironing after every wash.
Most uniform manufacturers in India require a minimum order of 50–100 pieces per design/colourway for custom embroidered or printed uniforms. For standard stock designs, minimum orders can be as low as 12–24 pieces. Hospiverse India connects you with verified uniform suppliers — post an RFQ with your staff count, department breakdown, and any branding requirements to receive competitive quotes.
