Marketplace Ranking and Sponsored Placement Disclosure
Effective date: 20 August 2026 · Version: 2026.08.20
This Disclosure explains the main parameters Hospiverse may use to order products, suppliers, brands and consultants in search, category pages, recommendations and RFQ matching.
1. Main Ranking Parameters
The relative importance may vary by page and query, but the principal factors are:
- Relevance — high importance: match between the query/RFQ and category, product, specification, specialty or service.
- Location and serviceability — high importance: delivery/service area, buyer city and stated availability.
- Eligibility and verification — medium to high importance: completed required business checks, current applicable documents and account standing. Payment cannot purchase a verification badge.
- Listing quality and completeness — medium importance: complete, current and structured information, appropriate images, specifications, MOQ, delivery and warranty data.
- Responsiveness and reliability signals — medium importance: response time, accepted/declined leads, unresolved substantiated complaints, fulfilment feedback supplied to the Platform and policy compliance. These signals are not a financial-credit score.
- Freshness and availability — medium importance: recent updates, active status and current product/consultant availability.
- Buyer context — medium importance: selected category, city, saved preferences, account role and prior Platform interactions where permitted by the Privacy Policy.
- Paid placement — limited to identified placement inventory: eligible paid plans may receive featured, priority or sponsored visibility as described below.
Hospiverse may also apply safety, legal, fraud, diversity, deduplication, quality and testing controls. It does not disclose details that would enable manipulation, fraud or security circumvention.
2. Sponsored and Featured Placement
Supplier, Brand Direct and Consultant plans may include priority ranking, featured placement, homepage/category inventory or ad credits. Where paid treatment materially affects visibility, the result/section will be labelled "Sponsored," "Featured," "Promoted" or another clear equivalent.
Paid status does not:
- guarantee first position for every query;
- override query relevance, legal eligibility or safety restrictions;
- create a verification badge;
- mean Hospiverse endorses the product/business; or
- guarantee impressions, leads, quotations or sales.
3. Differentiated Treatment by Plan
Free and paid accounts may receive different limits and visibility, including SKU/profile limits, lead access, analytics, campaign inventory, placement, response tools and Relationship Manager support. The applicable Plan Schedule and checkout describe the purchased treatment.
Hospiverse-owned products, if any, must be clearly identified by seller name. They must not be secretly ranked as neutral third-party recommendations merely because Hospiverse is seller.
4. RFQ Matching
RFQs may be routed using category/specification match, buyer city, supplier service area, current verification/eligibility, plan entitlement, capacity/availability and responsiveness. Hospiverse may limit the number of recipients to protect buyer data and response quality.
No supplier is entitled to receive every matching RFQ. A paid plan does not guarantee a minimum lead quantity unless a signed order form states the exact commitment and remedy.
5. Reviews and Enforcement
Fraudulent reviews, manipulation, keyword stuffing, duplicate listings, false availability and attempts to game ranking may reduce visibility or cause account action. A substantiated complaint may affect ranking; an unverified allegation alone should not be treated as proof.
6. Changes and Questions
Hospiverse may refine ranking to improve relevance, safety and quality. Material changes to the principal parameters or paid treatment will be reflected here.
Questions or complaints about ranking/paid treatment may be sent under the Grievance Policy to jigar.chanana@hospiverse.in.
